“The Lonesome Animal” is a 25 minute short film written, directed and produced by Erin Klingsberg for the BFA program at Emerson College.

Tom is a high school outcast in a rural town whose anonymity and quiet demeanor has helped him hide a huge secret for many years. Whilst being pressured by the school’s unenthusiastic administration to drop out, Tom’s assigned peer tutor, Molly, tries to uncover the truth about him. When she discovers he’s been hiding an overlooked reading disability, she takes it upon herself to tutor him. However, as Molly and Tom grow closer, the pressure builds and Tom must decide if he can reveal the truth to everyone.
